Glues … a few tips.

Glues are used to bond the extensions to the natural lashes,

That's why this product is so important to a lash artist.
There are many different types of glue on the market, and starting out can sometimes be a bit confusing.
Extension adhesives can be fast- or slow-drying, strong- or weak-hold, transparent or black, liquid or thicker.
Once you've chosen your strong glue, you're reassured and happy to have found THE glue, and yet sometimes this glue plays tricks on you.

Why?
I'm not a rocket scientist, but here are a few tips to help you understand your glues better.

There are three important factors for optimum efficiency:

The blend
Humidity
Conservation

First of all, always shake your glue, not just back and forth, but really shake it.
After leaving your glue untouched for several hours, the ingredients separated and fell out again. That's why it's very important to shake your glue for 2 min before starting your day, then shake it with every customer and even before every drop.
Test a drop if you find it looks odd. Keep shaking.

Then humidity
Humidity really does affect the effectiveness of your glue.
To constantly check the humidity in your room, simply buy a hygrometer.
In this way, you can correctly check the humidity in your room.
If you have too little humidity, your glue will take a long time to dry! So your appointment may take longer than expected.
On the other hand, if there's too much humidity in your room, your glue may dry too quickly and not have time to grip the natural lash properly, wasting your time by having to start all over again, or the extensions may fall out more quickly! (Don't forget extensions that come unstuck during the 1st brush stroke).
Once again, I insist on the humidity level in your room, which can vary from day to day or even hour to hour depending on your room temperature, ventilation and even the number of people in the room. Don't panic, there are a few easy rules to follow.

For rooms with too much humidity, invest in a dehumidifier.
Keep a small stock of glue (neither too much nor too little), perhaps not always the same glue, and one or two bottles of glue that dries more or less quickly, so that you have a spare solution in case of a glitch.
But above all, it' s important to know your glue in order to handle it correctly.
Last but not least, conservation...
It is important to protect your glues from changes in temperature and humidity.
It's best to store your glues in a vacuum box or sachet with silica gel.
Keep them away from radiators, windows and water points, and don't put them in the fridge. Avoid all temperature changes.
Above all, don't keep glue closed for too long. Fresh glue is always better, which is why we never have much glue in stock.
I hope this has helped you to better understand how to make your work even more perfect. #teamroxils
